Man rescued after jumping into Lake Michigan

CHICAGO — Rescue crews were called Saturday morning after a man jumped into Lake Michigan and couldn’t get to shore.

It happened around 10:30 a.m. near the Gold Coast neighborhood.

The Chicago Police Marine Unit and lifeguards from the park district came in to help.

The man was taken to Northwestern University Hospital.

No other details have been released.
