SEATTLE -- Police in Seattle are still trying to coax a man down from an 80-foot tree Wednesday morning.
According to KCPQ, he's been there since Tuesday morning, shouting obscenities and claiming to have a knife.
He threw apples, orange peels, pine cones and branches at the officers who tried to get him down.
Police say his safety is their main priority.
The roads around a Macy's store are closed while police try to talk him down.
Meanwhile, the hashtag #ManInTree is trending on Twitter:
Christmas tree? Red hat and beard? I'm pretty sure #ManInTree is actually Yukon Cornelius. https://t.co/EtJ7HeHcYe pic.twitter.com/80uidWpKyV

Some say #ManInTree needs help, but I'm gonna go out out on a limb and say he just wants attention. pic.twitter.com/FaP4E2tUdK
