Man killed in carjacking on Chicago’s South Side

Chicago Police say a man was shot and killed late Tuesday night during a carjacking on the city’s South Side.

It happened just before 10:30 p.m. in the 2300 block of West 80th Street.

Police say a 21-year-old man was in a black Ford Expedition when he was approached by two men.

The victim was shot in the chest, as the men took off in the SUV.

The unidentified victim later died at the hospital.

Police say he is a documented gang member.

The SUV was recovered nearby.Police are still looking for the suspects.
