A Chicago attorney was sentenced to life in prison Thursday for murdering the ex-girlfriend of former Chicago Bulls player Eddy Curry.
Frederick Goings was convicted of shooting Nova Henry, 24, and her 10-mont-old daughter to death in 2009.
Prosecutors said goings was motivated by money when Henry hired him in a child-support case against Curry.
Goings and Henry became lovers.
But Goings killed Henry and her daughter when she broke up with him and hired another lawyer.
Henry’s 3-year-old son, who is also Curry’s son, was unharmed.
