HOUSTON -- A man in Houston was given the gift of sound for Christmas.

The Miracle-Ear Foundation partners with donors to provide hearing aids and follow-up care for those who can't afford it.

This week, they helped David Auer hear again.

He had hearing aids when he was younger, but they had been stolen.

On Wednesday, he was fitted with a new pair of hearing aids.

When he first heard voices he said thank you. Then he was given the chance to listen to music.

The room was silent as Auer listened to the song, he then signed and said "F-E-E-L."

He told Alicia Taravella, the hearing instrument specialist who helped him, that he could feel the music and he wanted to dance.

"Our primary goal is to make sure that anyone that needs to hear gets the help they need," said Taravella. "To watch their expression on their face is just amazing."
