EVANSTON, Ill. – Evanston police are investigating the death of a man found in the basement of an apartment building.

Star Paramore was 19 years old. His family says he worked in a restaurant and wanted to become a truck driver.

Police say his body was found yesterday evening in the basement of the apartment building in the 1200 block of Harvard Terrace.

Evanston detectives and the  North Regional Major Crimes Task Force continue to investigate. Paramore’s relatives say they have no idea why someone would do this to him.

His sisters flew in this morning from New York, and his mother tells WGN the only thing keeping her going at this point is prayer.

Anyone with information is asked to call Evanston Police at (847) 866-5000 or text an anonymous tip to CRIMES (274637) by entering EPDTIP in the message line with tip information.
