CHICAGO — Chicago Police are investigating the murder of a man who was found dead in his car on the West Side.
65-year-old Ramon Ramirez died from a stab wound to the leg, the Cook County Medical Examiner confirms.
Ramirez’s body was found inside his SUV around 1 a.m. in the 5700 block of West Grand in the city’s Belmont-Cragin neighborhood.
But the family believes he was killed in a robbery.
Ramirez was in the driver’s seat and the car was parked near the family’s home. The car was on. But relatives say he didn’t have his phone or his wallet.
Relatives say Ramirez had a big heart. They say he was a hardworking immigrant and had been in Chicago for more than 40 years. He was hoping to return to Mexico to live. They’re asking anyone who knows anything to contact Chicago Police.
