A man is facing drunk driving charges after a wrong-way accident on the Eisenhower Expressway.
State police said the car was heading westbound in the eastbound lanes of the Ike around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday, when it crashed into a wall at Racine Avenue.
The driver was taken into custody after a foot chase and charged with DUI.
A second person in the car was not charged.
No one was was injured.
A short time later, state police stopped another wrong-way driver on the Dan Ryan Expressway at 63rd Street.
No one was injured in that incident either.
Alcohol was believed to be a factor in both incidents, which happened within Chicago’s city limits.
