A man has been charged with drowning his wife in South Barrington, 13 years after the fact.

Frank Buschauer allegedly drowned Cynthia Hrisco in the bathtub of their home in 2000.

The cop who was on the case from the start arrested him Wednesday in Wisconsin.

Following his arrest, Buschauer told authorities he and his wife quarreled on the day she died, and that he had put his hands on her throat and threatened to kill her.

Recreating the scene and getting other medical examiners to review the evidence is what turned the case around.
