A man is expected in bond court Saturday, after a stand-off with police at a McDonald’s in North Suburban Wadsworth.

It happened about 5:30 p.m. Friday, near a gas station on Highway 41 and Wadsworth Road.

Justin Koch, 24, barricaded himself inside the bathroom of the McDonald’s.

When police tried to force their way inside the bathroom, they heard three loud bangs.

Koch was eventually arrested and admitted that the loud noises were actually fireworks.

Police did not find a gun.

Koch has been charged with aggravated battery to a police officer, aggravated assault, and disorderly conduct.
