SKOKIE, Ill. -- There have been no threats specifically targeting the Westfield Old Orchard mall, but Skokie police say they are aware of the video that calls for attacks at shopping malls in the U.S., Canada and United Kingdom.

Shoppers near Westfield Old Orchard in Skokie are aware of the threats -- but not overly concerned.

A video reportedly released from the terror group Al-Shabaab urges followers to attack western shopping malls, specifically naming the Mall of America in Minnesota, where security --- seen and unseen -- has been stepped up.

Also named in the video were the Westfield Mall in Stratford, England and the West Edmonton Mall in Canada.

Al-Shabaab is the same group behind the 2013 rampage at Westgate Mall in Nairobi, Kenya.

Homeland security secretary Jeh Johnson says the U.S. takes the threats seriously.

So far there has been no comment from Westfield on any possible security changes. The company owns three malls in Illinois -- as well as the mall in England that is named in the video.
