CHICAGO — Police said about 12 people were arrested, including the Rev. Gregory Livingston, at an anti-violence protest near O’Hare Airport on Monday.

About 40 to 60 people participated at the protest, according to a police spokesperson. Protesters originally planned to meet at Cumberland and I-90 and then walk onto the Kennedy heading west to River Road. Illinois State Police told protesters it was against the law to march on the expressway. They ordered the group to stay off the on-ramp or they would get taken into custody.
