State lawmakers investigating Gov Quinn’s now defunct anti-violence campaign have subpoenaed its former director.

Barbara Shaw ran the Neighborhood Recovery Initiative and will be required to testify about how it spent $55 million dollars in grants.

An inspector general’s audit found widespread abuse of funds and poor oversight.

Shaw’s hearing is set for July 16th and 17th.

Her lawyer has said in the past that Shaw will comply.

Six others were also subpoenaed.
