Chicago radio legend Larry Lujack has died.

He lost his battle with cancer Wednesday at his home in New Mexico.

The radio hall of famer was best known for his wacky ‘Animal Stories’.

Lujack was a fixture on Chicago airwaves for nearly 40-years.

His on-air humor and sarcasm helped pave the way for other personalities like Steve Dahl and Howard Stern.

Lujack was 73-years-old.
