CHICAGO — A family will be displaced following a fire that destroyed their home Tuesday evening.
According to the Lake Zurich Fire Department, a house fire broke out on the 10 block of Robin Crest Road in Hawthorn Woods just after 4 p.m. on Tuesday.
The Lake Zurich fire chief told WGN-TV that no one was home at the time of the fire and no injuries are being reported, but a pet remains unaccounted for.

Fire crews were able to contain the fire and remained at the scene into Tuesday night.
Fire officials report that the area does not have fire hydrants, which led to a significant response from emergency crews, including a dozen water tenders, seven ambulances, 10 fire engines, and 13 chief fire officers.
No further information has been provided at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
