ROSEMONT, Ill. -- The Muslim couple whom Donald Trump zeroed in on after they spoke at the Democratic National Convention are in the Chicago area.

They lost their son, a U.S. Army captain, in Iraq. Today they addressed an audience at the 56th annual Islamic Society of North America conference.

That conference is being held in Rosemont, Illinois.

The Khans didn't talk about Donald Trump much today, really only to say they have moved on.  But they still had plenty to say when it comes to politics elections and their newfound fame. They are using their notoriety to inform Muslims and the country just how important elections are.

The Khans will be speaking again tonight to a larger group as well as Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson.
