KENOSHA, Wis. — Three people were killed and several others were injured after firefighters battled a fire at a senior home in Kenosha Monday night, according to police.

Police and fire officials have yet to release details about the fire, which was reported at approximately 9:30 p.m. Monday in the Saxony Manor community at 1870 22nd Avenue.

Evacuated residents were able to seek shelter on two warming busses as firefighters responded to the blaze for approximately 30 minutes.

Two adults were found deceased inside the building, with one adult having died from an unrelated medical issue. A third adult later died at the hospital due to injuries sustained from the fire.

At least five people were transported to local hospitals with injuries from the fire.
