CHICAGO --The Chicago Police Department says it's releasing videos related to last week's deadly police shooting of an 18-year-old car thief suspect.

New video released by the Bolingbrook Police Department shows Paul O’Neal with two other men at a gas station in the southwest suburb, hours before he was killed.

It also shows the three filling up the gas tanks of cars they allegedly stole.

Hours later, O’Neal was shot in the back and killed by police in Chicago’s South Shore neighborhood as they were trying to arrest him for allegedly stealing a Jaguar.

Superintendent Eddie Johnson relieved three officers of their police powers after a preliminary investigation concluded they had violated department policy.

The department is also looking into why the body camera of an officer involved in the shooting wasn't recording at the time.

Other videos connected to shooting will be released Friday morning.
