A church in Merrillville Indiana is broadening its flock with a new approach to the traditional Sunday Service.

Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church is finding success with its 30 minute service. Sunday nights are now shorter and less formal than Sunday mornings.

The 30-minute church idea is pretty new; they’ve only done it a couple of times. But what’s surprising Reverend Rick Boshoven is the response. It’s been hugely popular with church-goers young and old.

WGN’s Tom Negovan spoke with the reverend and parishioners about the new approach.
