CHICAGO — Students, parents and teachers rallied Thursday afternoon against education cuts.

The crowd was pushing lawmakers for school funding. They are demanding lawmakers compromise to reach a deal so schools open on time this fall.

The rally at the Thompson Center was organized by the non-profit New Schools for Chicago.

Hundreds of Chicago school kids from CPS and Charter school were in attendance and some teachers as well.
