CHICAGO -- The Chicago Skyway is open again in both directions after having to close this morning due to wind.

High winds forced the Chicago Skyway to close in both directions from the Indiana state line to 91st Street around 3 a.m. due to high winds and flying construction debris.

The high winds ripped apart metal sheeting placed there by construction crews causing dangerous driving conditions.

A Wind Advisory is in effect until 6 p.m. for the entire Chicago area.
