Heightened security at Highland High School after phone threat

HIGHLAND, Ind. — Heightened security is planned for schools in Highland, Indiana today after a shooting threat at Highland High School.

Students there spent several hours on lock-down Wednesday.

It started at about 11:30 a.m. when police received threatening calls.

Parents waited outside the school for hours.

Students were safe but on lock-down inside.

They were released at 2:30 p.m.

There have been no arrests, but the threat is under investigation.
