BAIL, Indonesia — The Chicago woman serving a prison sentence in Bali for the murder of her mother will reportedly hand over her baby to a Australian family.

The Daily Mail is reporting Heather Mack is “in negotiations to place three-month-old baby Stella, who was born in a prison hospital last March, into the care of an Australian family living in Bali.”

Mack and 21-year-old boyfriend Tommy Schaefer were charged with the murder of Mack’s mother Sheila VonWiese-Mack, who was found beaten to death at an upscale Bali resort last August.

20-year-old Mack was sentenced to 10 years in prison.   Her daughter is living with her in her prison’s cell currently.

The Daily Mail reports the Australian family has agreed to care for the child until Mack is released from prison.

“A source close to Mack said ‘nothing was set in stone’ but confirmed that negotiations were on-going,” according to the Daily Mail.
