BALI, Indonesia — The Chicago teenager charged with the murder of her mother on the resort island of Bali has brought her newborn baby to live with her in prison.  Heather Mack, 19, gave birth to a baby girl last week.

Mack left the hospital in a wheelchair.  She made her way past photographers and camera crews, her baby wrapped in a shawl.

Mack is being held in prison while she and the baby’s father, Tommy Schaefer, 21, are on trial for the murder of her mother, Sheila von Wiese-Mack, 62.

Jail authorities in Bali allow babies to stay with their mothers behind bars for the first two years of their lives.
