RIVER GROVE, Ill. — Charges are pending against an assistant principal of a Catholic high school accused of sexually abusing a male student.
The administrator at Guerin College Prep in River Grove was arrested on Wednesday.
He is accused of having inappropriate contact with a 17-year-old student last month.
The president of Guerin says the assistant principal was not on school business when the alleged abuse occurred, and it appears to be an isolated incident.
The assistant principal was put on paid administrative leave once the allegations surfaced.
The Archdiocese of Chicago says it is cooperating with the investigation.
