Two Lincoln Park neighborhood groups are suing the city, over the planned redevelopment of the old children’s hospital.

They say the zoning changes weren’t done properly, and are way out of character for the neighborhood.

The MidNorth and Park West community associations filed suit today saying the city erred when changing zoning rules that would allow two towers on the site to be built topping 191 feet.

The towers come with 540 apartments, 60 condos, 156 units of assistant senior living,  110,000 retail square feet and an acre of public green space. Still the neighborhood groups fear the dense development will overwhelm the neighborhood along with tower over it.
