FLAGG, Ill. — Illinois Gov. Bruce Rauner plans to hold a briefing in the northern Illinois community of Flagg about tornado damage after a large storm swept through the area.

Flagg was among the towns that experienced substantial damage when at least two tornadoes damaged a six-county swath Thursday night. One woman from Fairdale was killed and about 11 people were injured. About 30 homes were severely damaged in Rochelle.

According to his public schedule, Rauner will appear at noon Friday with officials from the Illinois Emergency Management Agency.
