A 4-year-old girl remains in critical condition after suffering burns over half her body when a fire broke out in a south side apartment building last night.
The girl was with her 9-year-old brother and a 16-yearold sister when the fire started in the child’s bunk bed.
The older sister suffered burns to her hands as she carried her sister to a bathtub to stop the burning.
Neighbors in the building also rushed-in to help.
The 4-year-old girl is hospitalized at Comer Children’s Hospital.
The brother was not injured and the 16-year-old sister was babysitting the children while doing homework in another room at the time.
