CHICAGO --A 7-year-old girl who went missing from the city’s South Shore neighborhood has been found safe.

On Thursday, police say Kendra Broughton was dropped off around 8:50 a.m. at Powell Elementary School at 75th and South Shore Drive.

But when her parent went to pick her up at 4:30 p.m., she was not there.

Kendra was found at a friend's house.
