HEMET, Calif. — A medical mystery is solved for a 5-year-old girl suffering from what doctors believed was just a sinus infection.
Khloe Russell had been suffering from a runny nose for six months.
Her mother says three different doctors looked into the girl’s nose and saw nothing strange.
She was prescribed antibiotics, but nothing helped.
But last weekend after Khloe blew her nose – a safety pin came out of it.
The safety pin measured about 1.5 inches long and is partially disintegrated.
She is feeling much better now that the pin it out.
Khloe says she remembers sticking it up her nose just to see how far it would go.
But Khloe thought she dropped it and didn’t realize it was lodged in there.
