Across the country, drivers are paying the lowest springtime gas prices in 3 years.

That’s not the case here in Chicagoland.

According to AAA, our city has the highest city average in the country, at $4.32 a gallon.

And prices are only expected to go up in May.

Statewide, the average is a little lower, at $3.91 per gallon.

Experts say, we’re paying more due to maintenance issues at the refineries that supply gas to our area.
