A former top aide to Mayor Richard M. Daley is expected to plead guilty to embezzling money from a charity.

Gene Lee was Daley’s deputy chief of staff; later he ran the Chinatown Summer Fair and the Chicago Dragons Athletic Association.

Lee reportedly will admit, he spent more than $5,000 in charitable donations to buy suits, travel, and entertain donors.

Lee could get up to two years in prison.
