Michael Morell is the former deputy director of the CIA. He played a critical role in the most important counter-terrorism events of the past two decades.
Morell was by President George W. Bush’s side on 9/11 and assisted with planning the raid that resulted in the death of Osama bin Laden.
He says the most significant threat to the United States is Al Qaeda not ISIS.
Morell talked to WGN Morning News about his new book called “The Great War of Our Time: The CIA’s Fight Against Terrorism from Al Qaida to ISIS.”
