Sunshine returns to the region as we start the workweek, but temperatures remain cool for the season.

With high pressure centered over the western Great Lakes Chicagoland will see abundant sunshine.  Afternoon highs are expected to reach the upper 60s inland, while a high around 60 is forecast near the lake.

The clouds will start to return tonight as temperatures fall into the upper 40s.  Partly sunny to mostly cloudy skies will keep temperatures below average on Tuesday, but highs should still reach the 70 degree mark.  Once again areas near the lakefront will be cooler.
