Illinois regulators unveiled the first draft of rules for the state’s new medical marijuana pilot program Friday.

Regulators dropped a proposal that would prevent people from having both medical marijuana and a firearm owner ID card.

Gun owners were required to give up the card under the first draft of rules in order to obtain a medical marijuana card.

Annual fees to obtain a card have also been reduced from a proposed $150 to $100, and $50 for disabled people and veterans.
