Fire destroys laundromat on Chicago’s Northwest Side

CHICAGO — Firefighters are still on the scene cleaning up after a massive fire at a laundromat on Chicago’s Northwest Side.

The fire broke out around 2 a.m. Monday at JM Laudromat, located at 5130 W. Fullerton Ave, in the Cragin neighborhood.

Heavy smoke and flames shot through the roof of the building, the roof collapsed and firefighters had to go into defensive mode.

No injuries were reported.

The fire is out now, but fire crews were still working on putting out hot spots.
