Fighter jets escort Air France flight to NY after chemical weapons threat

NEW YORK — Federal authorities scrambled fighter jets to escort an Air France flight from Paris to JFK international airport in New York after an anonymous threat.

Police in Maryland received a call this morning about a “chemical weapons threat” on the flight.

The Airbus A-330 plane landed in a secure area to be searched. So far nothing has been found.
