Female jogger stabbed in Palatine forest preserve

The Cook County Sheriff is investigating the stabbing of a female jogger along a trail in the Deer Grove Forest Preserve.

The attack happened around 4:30p.m. Saturday afternoon.  The victim say a bald hispanic man wearing a black shirt with two earrings in his right ear stabbed her in the abdomen and then fled in an unknown direction.

The victim was able to drive to a nearby residence where an ambulance was called.  The woman was transported to Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge and was listed in stable condition.
