ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The feds have thwarted a plan by a man in Rochester, N.Y., to kill people at a bar on New Year’s Eve, to prove he was worthy of joining ISIS.

Emanuel Lutchman is charged with attempting to provide material support to terrorists. A sting operation by the FBI with three paid informants resulted in his arrest.

Authorities say he was going to carry out the attack at a bar in Rochester using a machete and knives purchased at a local Wal-Mart.
