One of the newest additions to the suburban restaurant scene very easily could be the biggest: Grillhouse by David Burke.

The restaurant boasts 22,000 square feet of seating and party space in northwest suburban Schaumburg, focusing on a farm-to-table concept. For Chicago Restaurant Week, there are regular menu items at discounted prices in an effort to lure new customers -- and keep them.

And tucked into the ninth floor of the newly opened Le Meridien hotel in Oakbrook center is El Tapeo, a Latin–Spanish fusion restaurant heavy on tapas and small plates.

While executive chef Franco Diaz has a long history in the area, his newest restaurant is breaking in just in time for restaurant week.
