A casual artist and lifelong Blackhawks fan, 15-year old Liz Spurlock’s recent creation has gone leaps and bounds beyond her imagination.
She painted her support for the Hawks on a pair of high tops. Her mom posted a picture on Facebook and the requests came pouring in.
Growing up in a philanthropic family, making money was not on Liz’s agenda. Helping others is the name of this game and proceeds from sales of her shoes go to two very important causes.
First, pediatric brain cancer. After watching a friend’s little brother unsuccessfully battle the disease, Liz made it a mission to help raise money for education and research to help.
Curing cancer only one of Liz’s passions. This future veterinarian has also joined forces with the Brian and Amanda Bickell Foundation to create compassion for pit bulls.
