CHICAGO -- 30 years ago Ferris Bueller charmed his way out of school and into the hearts of millions of fans.  And now you can recreate his entire "day off" with a whole lineup of events starting tomorrow.

For starters, you can step right into his bedroom.

Canadian artist Sarah Keenlyside has recreated the iconic bedroom inside the Virgin Hotel in downtown Chicago.

The computer Ferris uses to erase school absences, his amazing stereo system, his cool keyboard, even the life vest and the mannequin are all present and accounted for.

Originally built for a Toronto exhibit, Sarah has brought Ferris’s room to Chicago for Ferris Fest.  It’s a three day festival celebrating the magical John Hughes movie which showcased some of Chicago’s best. The room is just one stop.

There is also a tour, taking fans to all the spots Ferris, Sloan and Cameron hit on their wild day off including the Art Institute, The Willis Tower and Wrigley Field.

You can also stop by their school and Cameron’s dad’s garage.  You can attend a 1986 dance at Shermer High School and catch screenings of the movie at the John and Nancy Hughes Theatre in Lake Forest with some of the cast.
