CHICAGO -- Positivity was the name of the game Thursday when members of the Harlem Globetrotters met with the dedicated athletes of two Chicago wheelchair basketball teams.
It was part of The Great Assist Initiative.
Globetrotters Slick Willie Shaw and El Gato Melendez hit the hardwood with members the teams.
The teams are a community with very similar stories. All but one of the Chicago players are victims of gun violence.
The Globetrotters and wheelchair athletes are hoping their stories help strengthen and improve the community together.
Fans can submit stories to the Globetrotters and recommend a person or a cause that may be in need of a smile or their support through the Great Assist program. More info on that here: www.GreatAssist.com
