CHICAGO -- Chicago police Tuesday honored a girl who is fighting cancer.

Bagpipes played as police gave 12-year-old Emily Beazley and her sister honorary stars at police headquarters.

Emily is battling non-Hodgkin's lymphoma and doctors say her chemotherapy treatment isn't working.

There's been a huge outpouring of support for Emily and her family.

A stretch of Homan Ave. in the Mount Greenwood neighbor was just named after her.

Also,  Emily's supporters have made a video appeal to pop star Taylor Swift to visit her.
