CHICAGO —You know you’re hitting the mark when a former president high fives you in person.
That’s what happened to 10-year-old Jahkil Jackson when Barak Obama met him at a reception last month to honor his work with Chicago’s homeless.
For the last two years, Jahkil Jackson has made it his mission to distribute bags of toiletries to those living in Chicago’s streets. He calls them “Blessing Bags,” because he says each one is packed with love for those who live without basic necessities.
Since 2016, Jakhil has passed out over 6,000 of his Blessing Bags, and hopes to double that number by the end of 2018.
More information on his cause is available online.
