MERRILLVILLE, Ind. -- The FBI raided a massage parlor in northwest Indiana Thursday.

A spokesman with the Department of Justice say authorities executed a federal search warrant at Seoul Spa at 2470 W. Lincoln Highway in Merrillville.

Witnesses told WGN News federal authorities took a number of young women from the back of the business.

John Yaroscak works at the muffler repair business next door and says he always had his suspicions about the business based on the people he would see coming and going.

“I see a lot of nice looking girls walk by with skimpy, clothes that are revealing,” he said.

Barry Loftis works at AAA Services in the same strip mall he believes the FBI is investigating a case of human trafficking. He says young women were being led out the back into an unmarked pick-up truck by FBI agents

“It’s kind of scary what goes on right next door to you, but it is a problem, it is an epidemic,” he said. “Kudos to law enforcement for getting those girls out of there.”

The case is sealed and the U.S. A ttorney’s office spokesman Ryan Holmes told WGN News he could neither confirm nor deny the investigation. He did however, confirm that federal authorities had a warrant and searched the business this morning.

The FBI, IRS, Indiana State Police, Lake County sheriff and Merillville police were all involved in today’s raid.
