Jackie Robinson West fans scoop up championship t-shirts

“America’s Team” is back home in Chicago after capturing the world’s imagination in the Little League World Series.

The players from Jackie Robinson West were greeted as conquering heroes, as they arrived at Midway Airport.

Dick’s Sporting Goods, located at 1100 S. Canal St. in the South Loop, is selling a shipment of 7,000 Limited-Edition Jackie Robinson West All Stars “National Champions” t-shirts, according to Crain’s Chicago. It is the only store in Chicago selling the shirts.

The shirts cost $20. All proceeds from shirt sales, after covering production costs, will go directly to the team. With an additional 5,000 shirts sold during their World Series run, Jackie Robinson West stands to make at least $240,000 in t-shirt sales.

A huge rally starts at 9 a.m. Wednesday, followed by parade at 10 a.m. Check out the map of the route below:
