NEW YORK -- A family of nine from New York says they were unfairly kicked off a JetBlue flight before it took off.

They say the flight attendant was short-tempered and called them "animals" on the loudspeaker.

Keren Kimchy said it all started when the flight attendant asked his brother to step aside during boarding so other passengers could pass.

His brother said he would as soon as his pregnant wife could sit down. Kimchy said the attendant called him hostile.

They had words again and the family was asked to leave.

JetBlue says they only remove families from flights when they're a security risk.
