Jimmy Fallon has confirmed he will take part in Chicago’s Polar Plunge this weekend.

The new host of the “Tonight Show” sent a tweet to Mayor Rahm Emanuel saying he would participate.

This comes after an exchange of tweets that Fallon and Emanuel have had for nearly a week.

Fallon made a remark on his show inviting Rahm Emanuel to be his guest. Chicago’s mayor then replied via Twitter saying, he’d do it if Fallon did the Polar Plunge.

The Polar Plunge will take place this Sunday, March 2 in Lake Michigan.

It runs from 10 a.m. to noon at North Avenue beach.

Last year’s Chicago Polar Plunge drew over 2300 participants and raised close to $800,000 for Special Olympics.

No word if Emanuel will appear on the “Tonight Show.”
