Fallen Chicago officers honored at vigil

A candlelight vigil, honoring Chicago police officers killed in the line of duty was held this evening.

Hundreds of police and family members of fallen officers filled Gold Star Memorial Park for the 10th annual vigil.

There was a reception inside Soldier Field included brief comments from Superintendent Garry McCarthy and Bethany O’Reilly, president of the Gold Star Families organization.

The vigil ceremony included the reading of the 567 names of Chicago police officers killed in the line of duty.
